‘By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.’ (John 13:35)
We are all called by God to love and support others. CWR was founded with the vision to train people to help others, and has since evolved into a national centre for training Christian counsellors.
We have an exciting vision for the future. We want to be able to provide Christian counselling support to all those who need it – no matter what their financial circumstances are. We want to be able to help everyone access the counselling care and support that they need at any stage in life. This exciting vision is in its early stages, starting with the setting up of a counselling support telephone line, and there are ambitious future plans for creating counselling centres across the UK.
It is estimated that only 1 in 4 people with mental health problems receive support each year.*
Statistics show that we need more trained Christian counsellors available to help others, and the testimonies we receive prove that CWR’s approach to counselling is life-changing.
Jesus says that others will be convinced by the Christian faith through the love we show one another – not by well-argued theology or convincing sermons, but love. CWR wants to show God’s love to others by making the opportunity to be heard, understood, accepted and helped accessible to everyone, so that anyone can begin their journey towards healing and wholeness.
You can help us reach people who could otherwise not afford the counselling they need. Could you give a gift of £30 to help us in the first phase of our vision?
We’ve been equipping people to care for others for over 50 years, learning along the way that caring for people God’s way begins with encouragement. In order to open up and ask for help, people need to know that they’ll be received with understanding and acceptance. Our expertise is recognised worldwide, and our trained counsellors help thousands of people every year. But when there are millions of people in need of help in the UK alone, reaching thousands isn’t enough.
Our vision is that everyone in the UK who needs counselling has access to it, and we need your help.
'My counsellor helped me open up and face my fears and anxieties. I am now so much more able to handle everyday life.' – Counselling client, Hampshire
‘I felt God wanted to heal me before I could be used to heal others.’ – Matt, counselling course delegate
As we look to the future, our vision is to see counselling centres opening up across the UK, giving more people access where they may not currently be offered support.
Thank you so much for your faith and loyalty in supporting the vision and future of CWR’s ministry.
