Discover more about yourself and learn how to support others.
Many people struggle with mental health at some point in their life and could benefit from having someone to talk to. If you have a heart to help people through listening and counselling, the ICCC course teaches basic counselling principles for everyday life within a Christian context, and will help you to discern whether to take your counselling training further.
Taught by experienced counsellors, the ICCC course is designed for anyone who wants to learn about themselves, how to listen effectively, and how to support others. It is designed for anyone, whatever their level of prior knowledge or experience.
What does the ICCC cover?
Over the five days you'll cover topics including:
- The biblical basis for care and counselling
- Reason and causes for problems
- Developing basic counselling skills
- A clear framework for the counselling process
The course is ideal for anyone who is:
- Exploring training with the view to becoming a professional counsellor
- Involved in pastoral care
- Wanting to help people in everyday life
- Running a small group
- In part-time or full-time Christian ministry
On this course, you will find out more about yourself, how to listen to others more effectively, and how to better support people. It is also an ideal opportunity to discover if you would like to take your counselling training further with a professional qualification.
