Led by Philip Greenslade
In the post-modern, secular, West, the Christian Church is a marginalised minority group. How should we react? Become an introspective and defensive ‘holy huddle’?
‘No’ – says Isaiah of Jerusalem, speaking to God’s people in the eighth century BC - a word which is also for us. Don’t despair. God’s word is able to create a prophetic community, living faithfully, not fearfully; living hopefully, sustained by a vision of God’s kingdom coming with God’s anointed King as the centre of attention.
‘Isaiah said these things because he saw his glory and spoke of him’ (John 12:41).
