Imagining this in virtual space – not merely bricks and mortar
This conference aims to bring together people who over the years have had an interest in the idea of a Christian University in the UK. The weekend will be spent looking at concepts relating to the past, present and future of Christian universities. The emphasis is on developing the concept. This is a conversation space for academics and others to share and learn together; an opportunity to listen out for how God is moving in bringing his kingdom to bear in academia and how we might imagine into the future. It is open to all those interested in these issues, such as Christian academics, ministers and other educators.
This three day residential conference, organised jointly by Waverley Abbey College and the Christian Academic Network (C-A-N-), seeks to bring together individuals with an interest in the idea of a Christian University. Specifically the conference will include keynote talks and facilitated discussions exploring models. Devotional sessions, prayer, intercession and reflection will be also included in the programme. The aim of the conference will be in terms of conceptualising various forms for the UK, and the potential impacts of various infrastructures, research activities and outgoing graduates on our wider society.
Spouses will be able to attend as house guests at the cost of £115.00 (not attending the conference) - this option is not bookable on line - please telephone 01252 784719.
