Nov 2010 - Aug 2011

Download a 2010–2011 dates/fees schedule.

Many people struggle with problems in their lives … addictions, depression, stress, relationship breakdowns, abuse, and much else besides.
The exciting thing is that people can be helped to move forward and to discover the freedom to grow into all that God wants them to be. If you have a heart to help those who struggle, then this course offers excellent training in the skills and insight that you need.

CWR has been a pioneer of biblical pastoral care and counselling training for more than 30 years. Thousands of people have trained with CWR and are now using their skills and gifts to help others.

Our courses are led by recognised university lecturers and highly experienced counselling practitioners. All the training is firmly based on a Christian worldview which integrates a biblical theory of personality with insights from the best contemporary counselling models and practice.

The Waverley Certificate of Christian Counselling is a part-time course and forms Year 1 of CWR's 4/5 year part-time, stepped BA programme in Counselling, validated by Roehampton University*.

The following study options are open to you:

  • You may choose to apply for the one-year Certificate of Christian Counselling, as a stand alone course. On successful completion you will qualify for the Waverley Certificate of Christian Counselling award, an internal Waverley award. You may then decide to further your training and progress to the next level in the BA degree programme, or you may decide to finish your studies at this point.

  • You may apply at the outset to study to further levels in the degree programme, towards the following university-validated awards:
Years 1 and 2: Certificate of Higher Education (Cert Ed)*
Years 1 - 3: Diploma of Higher Education (Dip Ed)*
Years 1 - 4/5: BA Honours degree (BA Hons)*
