Help 'shield' the faith of new believers in Ghana
Though life can be hard in Ghana, finding Jesus Christ brings a transforming faith, a faith that can be vulnerable to doubt and to the pressures of a society where superstitious ways hold sway.
Imagine the anxiety of the young mother who lives in an outlying village and, though she has found Jesus, is now frightened and pressured by the harsh, rejecting voices of her pagan community.
Imagine too the confusion of the unskilled Christian man in Accra who struggles each day to feed and house his family, and finds his faith troubled by debt and uncertainty.
God's Word must be their shield, and spiritual reassurance is on its way!
Starting this Easter we are sending thousands of battle-proven 'shields' to Ghana – 365 days worth of Selwyn Hughes' spiritual insight and advice in a pocket-sized form!
We want to provide Ghana with 10,000 copies of Selwyn Hughes' book Treasure for the Heart containing six full issues of his highly popular daily devotional Every Day with Jesus.
Five thousand copies will be given free in order to strengthen people training to be leaders, born-again prisoners and those who live and worship in poorer communities.
The remainder will be made available at a fraction of the full cost.
But we can do this only with your help. Your gift of just £22 can 'shield' 40 new disciples in Ghana for a whole year – and beyond.
A gift of £36 could cover the shipping costs of 700 books.
Or £55 could fund 100 copies to help keep the faith of new disciples alive.
So please join us in 'shielding' the faith of Ghanaian believers!
