CWR Christmas Appeal

Prisoners – Lock them up and throw away the keys? Or reach out to them? Which is it to be?

Jesus never gave up on people – nor should we.

That's why CWR materials are distributed inside HM Prisons through the chaplaincy service with whom we've built a good relationship over the years.

And now we have another way to reach those who long for a different life but don't dare to trust the possibility.

Hearing is believing

Our friends at Torch Trust for the Blind have produced an audio version of Gram Seed's powerful autobiography One Step Beyond. This inspiring testimony traces Gram's route from hooliganism, drug addiction, vagrancy and jail to finding a deep faith in Christ.

This extraordinary book has had a profound effect on thousands of prisoners; yet many others – both adults and young offenders – struggle with low levels of literacy. So Torch Trust for the Blind will kindly let us produce thousands of copies of the audio version of Gram's book on CD for prisoners.

The costs are relatively modest:

  • Just £24 would cover the cost of producing and delivering the audio book into the hands of ten prisoners
  • £42 would cover a year's worth of Every Day with Jesus for three prisoners
  • With £83 we could reach six women prisoners with a year's supply of Inspiring Women Every Day.
So please join us in this work. What better Christmas gift could you give than one that helps lost people, trapped in the prison system, to discover Jesus and a new, constructive way of life?
