Jeff admits it can be difficult to sit down, be quiet, read the Bible and feel as though we're achieving something. Of course, as he says, without the renewing of the mind that Bible reading brings, we won’t achieve anything of lasting value. Distracted as we are by our culture's obsession with worldly things, we all need to encounter the power of pure truth.
We asked Jeff what makes Lucas on Life Every Day different to other Bible reading notes.‘There are many excellent resources currently available. I want to write for a new generation of Christians, with occasional humour, with a fierce commitment to personal authenticity and reality, and use story and parable as well to get the point across. I would like to laugh and cry with my readers, and hope that when they have completed their daily reading, some lights have gone on, some strength has been imparted, and that they have been baptised in fresh hope for the future.’
