It was the ultimate gift. ‘ For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son’ (John 3:16).
Christmas can be such a special time with family and friends.
As we look forward to celebrating Christmas, we think of those children whose parents can’t be with them because they are in prison. Sadly, reports show that there are 200,000 children in England and Wales* affected by parental imprisonment every year. We have an opportunity to bring joy to some of those families this Christmas.
Will you join us in helping to restore hope, and connect prisoners with their children? You can give a gift this Christmas that spreads joy – and God’s love – far beyond the festive season.
We would love to invite you to join us in helping parents who are in prison to send the gift of a Christian book to their children this Christmas. Parents can choose from a selection of CWR children’s books and send it along with a message to their child, reminding them that they are loved.
We are partnering with Prison Fellowship’s Angel Tree programme to enable us to send the books wrapped up beautifully, and with a note from their parent, directly to the children.
‘I can’t tell you in words how much my kids are happy. I can only say from my heart, you didn’t send gifts, you sent happiness and smiles.’
