CWR was founded as a Christian ministry in 1965 by Selwyn Hughes. Since then, we have grown into an international publishing and training organisation which seeks to enable people to apply God's word to everyday life and relationships. In addition to the variety of courses we offer, we produce a wide range of high-quality resources including daily devotionals, books, videos, audio cassettes and other inspirational items.

We are based at Waverley Abbey House near Farnham in Surrey, a Georgian building offering modern facilities with the added appeal of extensive grounds, a lake and the picturesque ruins of a twelfth-century Cistercian monastery. Waverley Abbey House is an attractive venue for conferences and gatherings of all kinds.

Publications
Our comprehensive range of Bible reading notes includes Every Day with Jesus, Cover to Cover Every Day (a five-year Bible reading programme), Lucas on Life Every Day and Inspiring Women Every Day. We also cater for various age groups of younger readers with our publications Mettle, YP's and Topz.

Our resources catalogue is rapidly expanding, and includes categories embracing Christian Living, Women, Encouragement, Bible Study, Youth and Children. Calendars, diaries, Christmas cards, training resources, dvds and audio cassettes are also available.

Training
We are constantly adding to the number of our training programmes which range from half-day seminars to degree courses, taught by a team of highly-qualified and experienced staff. All our courses are based firmly on biblical foundations while utilising the best contemporary models of professional and academic practice.

While off-site training can be made available regionally in churches and other venues, most of our training courses are held in Waverley Abbey House.

International
Our vision is to draw all God's people into a deeper and more intimate relationship with Him. In seeking to fulfil this vision, we depend on a network of national distributors.

CWR Statement of Belief
We believe that the Bible is the only infallible, authoritative Word of God; that there is one God, eternally existent in Three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious death and His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory. We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit, in His gifts and graces and in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
